I'm just about finished with this chair. I found it at the dump, it was pretty beat up (see before picture). I used alot of bottle caps, tins and nails.
I came across this picture today and thought it was interesting to see how I started out and what the finished piece looked like. I don't have a plan that I am aware of and I like that I can take something out or add something pretty much anywhere along the line.
This piece is in a new show at FRANK www.frankisart.com in the COLORS show. This photo is from the website. I made this from a cabinet I purchased at the habit resale store. The front is mostly lids and caps with a few other things thrown in. I made it before I went to Sante Fe. I guess just thinking about going there inspired me. I'll try to get a picture of the inside up soon. If you're in Chapel Hill come by the gallery. It's such a beautifully put together exhibit.

I had this piece hanging at FRANK and was fortunate enough to sell in the opening night. I used a piece of house siding, a couple of old shirts, belts, old instrument cases.....a lot of stuff.
I will be showing my art on consignment at the new gallery opening in Chapel Hill, NC. Take a look at what the gallery will be showing on Facebook FRANK-Franklin-Street-Arts-Collective
